Nicki Minaj Confirms Adele Collab & Teases Wedding Plans

UPDATED 10/16 2:30 p.m. ET: Nicki took to Twitter on Wednesday (October 16) to say that she was just kidding about the collab with Adele. "Omg guys. 😅🤣 I thought everyone could clearly see I was being sarcastic," she wrote. Sh*t! Now I have to go to Adele’s studio & steal some files. Who’s in the UK? I got a job for you."

It's an exciting time for Nicki Minaj.

At the launch party for her new fashion line, Fendi Prints On, the "Wobble Up" rapper revealed that she's got a collaboration coming with Adele, and is currently waiting for one final detail before saying "I do," to her boyfriend Kenneth Petty.

When asked by Entertainment Tonight if it was true she and Adele were working on a song together, or if she’d ever consider doing a collab in the future, Nicki happily replied: “Yes and yes, yes and yes, woo hoo!"

"But Adele made me swear to secrecy that I’m not allowed to tell anyone that I’m working with her,” she added before spilling more details. "And that we already shot a video. And it’s an epic song!"

Nicki went on to discuss her plans to marry Kenneth, saying, "We got the marriage license, now I just have to wait until my pastor that I love comes and does it for us. The big wedding and all that stuff, that will happen, but just not at this moment."

She added that she has "a dope designer" for her wedding gown and is "really excited" for her future nuptials. However, Nicki admitted that she's not overly focused on the wedding itself, at least not right now. "When I was little, I always imagined princess and marriage and the wedding and now it's more to me about the life, the future, the love, the partnership, than the wedding," Nicki shared. "[It's] so strange cause I didn't expect myself to be one of those people who didn't care about the hoopla, but I really don't."

"... I just kind of feel like it doesn't mean as much as it used to mean because the other part, the real part, I have it now and I'm so happy," she continued, referring to her love for Kenneth, who she went public with last December

Nicki's wedding update comes two months after she announced that she and future husband are set to tie the knot in "about 80 days."

"I’ll be married before my album comes out, but will have my wedding after the album comes out. Before the 90 days is over, yes, I will be married," she said on a radio show back in August. "I'm very very happy about that because my baby makes me so happy."
