Lil Xan Announces Retirement From Rapping, Immediately Changes Mind

Lil Xan In Concert - New York, NY

It's been a whirlwind weekend for Lil Xan and his fanbase. On Saturday (December 14), the 23-year-old announced a new career move on his Instagram story. "I quit rapping and I'm only gonna focus on moving forward with the Xanarchy clothing line” he wrote in a post. His retirement didn't last long though. The next morning (December 15), the rapper decided he wasn't quitting after all.

"Sorry to get your hopes up I’m not quitting haterszzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" he captioned a video from a large dinner in China. So I guess we can expect new music from Xan and new clothing items from his line.

Check out his post below.

Last month, the "Baby You Love Me" emcee opened up about stepping out of the public eye after relapsing on painkillers, namely Xanax and hydrocodone. The young star tried to quit cold turkey and the withdrawal was so bad he ended up getting hospitalized.

"I was in the hospital 'cause I went cold turkey because I didn't want to be on drugs no more," he shared with TMZ. "The withdrawal actually gave me seizures. It was a wake up call. They said it was from going cold turkey off Xanax because I wanted to stop drugs completely. But I did it the wrong way."

He went on to reveal that he is "completely sober" now after initially entering rehab a year ago.
