MEEK MILL: Solo Dolo

TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

  • If his sentence isn't shortened, it's not a reflection on Meek or his lawyers -- it's a failure of the justice system.
  • Free Meek Mill!
  • It must be so frustrating for Meek to put his life and career on hold indefinitely -- possibly for years.
  • Keep your head up, Meek!

The Philly rapper is in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day, seven days a week. Prison officials say it's for his own safety, since they're worried his celebrity status would prove dangerous when interacting with other inmates. But Meek would rather take his chances in general population.

Meek’s attorneys -- who are doing everything they can to get him released --  have filed documents to get Meek out of solitary. They argue that it could do permanent damage to his psyche and inhibits his creativity. Although he’s writing and working out a lot, the isolation is taking its toll.

He does have a couple things to look forward to. On Friday, he gets to hit the commissary for the first time for snacks, toiletries and other comfort items. And starting next week, he’ll be able to have visitors. (TMZ)
