Ann Marie Arrested After Allegedly Shooting A Man In The Head

Ann Marie has been arrested in Atlanta after allegedly shooting a man in the head.

According to TMZ, the 25-year-old Chicago-based singer, born Joann Marie Slate, was taken in to police custody on December 2 and charged with possession of a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities told the outlet that on December 1, police responded to a call at the InterContinental in Buckhead. When officers arrived, they found Ann Marie, who was reportedly "hysterical while a male friend of hers laid on the floor with a bullet wound in the center of his forehead and exit wound out his left temple area," TMZ reported.

According to records, obtained by TMZ, the man who was shot in the head is 24-year-old Jonathan Wright. While he "lost a lot of blood" he was reportedly somewhat conscious and able to answer officers' questions. He was later declared to be in critical condition.

Anne Marie reportedly told officers at the scene that a gun had fallen off a table in the room and went off, hitting Jonathan in the head. The officers found two shell casings inside the hotel room and two projectiles, according to the report, which additionally noted that there was also a bullet hole in the door jam and another in a cabinet, TMZ reported.

Ann Marie is best known for her 2018 song "Secret."
