Fans can now bring home a copy of JAY-Z's "Book of HOV."
On Tuesday, December 3, Roc Nation and ASSOULINE announced the plans to release "The Book of HOV: A Tribute To JAY-Z." According to a press release, the HOV-blue coffee table book "details the pillars of Shawn Carter’s influence, from his artistry and craft to his entrepreneurship and activism." The book consists of eight lyric-inspired chapters with over 700 images of the classic items that were on display at the iconic "Book of HOV" exhibit at the Brooklyn Library last year.
The handcrafted book comes in two sizes and is encased in a debossed hardcover slipcase. It features every item from the exhibit from the sculpture of his infamous "Roc" hand sign down to the epic art piece that appears on The Blueprint 3. The rare book of Hov's artifacts is available at Assouline Boutiques. The classic edition costs $120 but the ultimate version is priced at $2,000.
The "Book of HOV" exhibit opened last July. Hov was surprised by the exhibit and had no idea it was being developed. It was available to the public for free and brought in over 255,000 visitors within two months. The Brooklyn library also offered limited edition JAY-Z cards for citizens who opened accounts. Over 21,000 new accounts were created last summer. The exhibit remained open until December 4.
"The Book of HOV: A Tribute To JAY-Z" arrives on the day of the Roc Nation founder's 55th birthday. Get a closer look at the book below.
