The Hip-Hop community and numerous fans have banded together to support Madlib after he lost his home in the Los Angeles wildfires.

In a heartbreaking message he shared to Instagram on Monday, January 13, the famed artist revealed that the home he shared with his family was destroyed in the fires. The fire also burned up "decades of music" and the equipment he used to make it all. With the help of Love Like Water Inc, Madlib launched a fundraiser via DonorBox to collect donations that will help him and his family get essential personal items, clothing and new tools to make more music.

"We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support in helping legendary producer Madlib and his family after losing their home, decades of music, and equipment in the devastating LA fires," the fundraiser's description reads. "Your donation, no matter the amount, will provide assistance to help Madlib with immediate personal needs, essentials like clothing, temporary housing, transportation costs and the tools Madlib needs to continue creating the music that has touched so many lives."

Fans and artists alike quickly flooded the fundraiser with donations along with supportive comments for Madlib. Several artists like Freddie Gibbs, Flying Lotus, DJ PREMIER and others also shared the donation link to their followers in an effort to help the revered artist.

"Sad saddd," FlyLo wrote. "But it’s a no brainer, we gotta help the legend MADLIB rebuild! Pls help if u can."

"Another great Legend @madlib has completely lost his entire home and belongings to the California fires," Preemo said. "A donation box has been set up. This is the only legit link. Thanks Stacy Epps for helping get this organized."

Madlib is one of several celebrities who have lost everything in the Los Angeles wildfires. Jhené Aiko recently returned to her property in Pacific Palisades and found it in ruins after her home burned down. Tina Knowles also mourned the loss of her bungalow in Malibu shortly after the first fires broke out last week. Although the fires have not been completely contained, the efforts to provide support and aid to the victims has already begun.

Numerous brands, organizations, and celebrities have stepped up to help those affected by the fires. Beyoncé and her BeyGood organization just donated $2.5 million to a relief fund to help victims. Artists like The Game, Doja Cat, Denzel Curry, Tyler, the Creator, Snoop Dogg and others have all hosted donation drives or offered their assistance to those in need.
